Welcome to Onboard
Why we’re building a modular platform for restaurants — and what sets us apart from traditional booking portals.
Why we’re building a modular platform for restaurants — and what sets us apart from traditional booking portals.
Onboard started with a simple idea: restaurants deserve software that is designed with the same care as their menus. Traditional booking portals treat venues as interchangeable rows in a database — we wanted to build a platform that takes every bistro, wine bar and osteria seriously.
Over the past months we’ve worked with more than forty pilot restaurants in Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Hamburg and Frankfurt. The result is a platform that combines reservations, guest CRM, staff management and an AI assistant in a single, calm interface.
We believe software for hospitality deserves the same care as a well-laid table. That means no visual noise, no commissions, no lock-ins. Instead a modular system that only charges for what’s actually used.
Software for hospitality should feel like a well-run service — precise, calm, friendly.
Onboard is not a marketplace. We don’t sell reservations, we enable them. The relationship between restaurant and guest stays direct — the way it has always been.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be writing here regularly: about the product, tutorials, customer stories, and the engineering decisions we’re making along the way.
